A QUICK GUIDE TO JOINING OUR TEAM
Updated as of September 2025
We’re so excited to kick off another season with our athletes and families! Whether you’re joining us for the first time or returning for another year, thank you for being part of the Vette City Blazers family.
Our mission is to help athletes of all ages and skill levels (18 and under) develop speed, endurance, and confidence both on and off the track. Neurodiverse athletes are always welcome, and we’re proud to create a supportive environment where every kiddo can thrive.

Long Jump & High Jump – limited to clinics, but we’ll include foundational skill sessions whenever possible.
Even if practice opportunities are limited, athletes can still compete in jumps or throws at meets.
Athlete Development
We encourage athletes to:
Speak up for themselves.
Ask coaches about changes to events.
Inform coaches if they will miss practice.
While we welcome suggestions from families, coaches make the final decision on event registration to best support athlete development.
📌 Age divisions are based on how old your child will be at the end of 2026.
Volunteers & Fundraising
We couldn’t run the team without our amazing families! Opportunities to help include:
Assisting with meet organization (handing out bibs, helping with warm-up schedules).
Recording times at practices.
Tracking meet results.
Volunteer coaching.
Helping with fundraisers or planning the end-of-season celebration.
This season, we’ll hold two fundraisers with a goal of raising $150 per athlete total. Sponsorships are also welcome to keep costs low and accessible.
UNIFORMS
Uniform: Tops provided. Athletes must purchase running shoes and compete in orange or black bottoms.
